Every year they set out to honor some of the finest companies for the way they excel in business as well as for their contributions to Thai society.
There are 3 categories. Multinational Company, SME Company and Outstanding Exporter Company.
In order to decide on the final winners, the jury’s task consists of carefully examining each company according to the following criteria:
- Innovation
- Corporate Social responsibilities
- Dedication to Training and Human resources
- Promotion of Thai-Benelux relations
- Overall Business Achievement
For the winner of the SME category we were very proud that the judges selected us, and commented that:
Recreational Bangkok Biking Ltd. is a gem of a company, and probably the smallest company ever to be shortlisted.
Set up by Dutchman Andre Breuer, Recreational Bangkok Biking Ltd organizes bicycle tours through unknown Bangkok. Starting from Rama 3 Road, through the slums of Yannawa district to “the lung of Bangkok”, Phrapadaeng District, Recreational Bangkok Biking serves thousands of tourists, expats and corporate clients. Its customers are mostly Dutch and German speaking guests.
Slum people are employed to help bikers cross the Chao Praya River, and Recreational Bangkok Biking is a full sponsor of a slum pre-school thanks to the money it collects from its bikers. More than a half million Thai Baht for school year 2006/07 and more than a million Thai Baht for school year 2007/08 in charity are exceptional for a company with less than 10 staff.
